Gwinnett Daily Post
DULUTH - Due to a scheduling conflict at the Pensacola Civic Center, the Gwinnett Gladiators have agreed to open the 2007-08 season on the road.
The Gladiators and Ice Pilots have swapped ends of the season-opening home-and-home series. Gwinnett's first game now will be Oct. 19 in Pensacola and the two teams will travel here to play on Oct. 20. Puck drop for the Gladiators' opening home game is 7:35 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. With the switch, it will be the third time in the team's five-year existence that the Gladiators have started the regular season on the road. Gwinnett also opened the regular season on the road during the inaugural 2003-04 season as well as during the 2004-05 campaign. Season tickets are on sale now. The Gladiators, the ECHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers, also have several multi-game ticket packages available.
