Patricia Edwards of Snellville announces the engagement of her daughter, Claudia Shannon Girtman of Kennesaw, to Miles Ashley Hamilton of Kennesaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylan Hamilton of Guntersville.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Tyrone Girtman. She is the granddaughter of Beby K. Girtman of Brunswick and the late Tilliam P. Girtman, and the late I.W. and Nola K. Roberson. She attended Kennesaw State University. She is employed in commercial real estate in Atlanta. The future groom is the grandson of Curtis and Virginia Hinton of Columbus, Sue Hamilton of Lanet, Ala., and the late Hiram Hamilton. He is a graduate of Auburn University, where he received a master's degree in business. He is employed by Selig Enterprises in Atlanta.
