Alice Mae Gower Nelson Przybylski Mello, age 89 of Loganville, met her Master on Tuesday, July 17, 2007. Alice Mae was born on July 10, 1918, to the late Alice Mae Tuck Gower and Roy Lee Gower of Walton County. She was preceded in death by husbands, John Przybylski and Melvin Mello; brothers, Harold and Bruce Gower, and a sister, Eva White. She is survived by a sister, Frances Morton of Sanford, Florida; sons, Gary Nelson and wife, Chris Chandler Nelson, Grayson, Larry Nelson and wife, Evelyn Caylor Nelson, Loganville; daughter, Judy Przybylski Martin and husband, Billy Martin, Conyers. She leaves a legacy of Grandchildren to cherish her memory: Jennifer and Katie Nelson, Grayson, William Nelson, Brunswick, Dannial Nelson-West, Duluth, Terri Dodson, Rockmart, Amy Herrin Strickland, Barnesville, Amanda Herrin, Villa Rica; Great Grandchildren: Abigail Nelson, Hayden Strickland, Brittany Mayer and Megan Jordan. Alice Mae retired after many years of service as a supervisor of housekeeping at Grady Memorial and Georgia Baptist Hospitals. She was active until her death, enjoying dancing and socializing with her many friends at TOPS and The American Legion. Mae's charm and wit won her many friends through the years, and she always strived to make sure everyone had fun when she was around. She was of the Methodist faith. A Celebration of life for Mae Mello will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Ray officiating.
