DULUTH - Duluth First United Methodist Church is hosting a bereavement support group next week.

Bloodmobile to visit Buford

BUFORD - LifeSouth Community Blood Centers and the Buford community are teaming up to host a blood drive this week.

Look for the bloodmobile from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Home Depot located at 4120 Ga. Highway 20 in Buford.

Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more and show photo identification at the time of donation.

PeachCare registration available

ATLANTA - Parents with uninsured children interested in enrolling them in low-cost insurance can do so this week and next.

Easter Seals North Georgia, along with Georgia Healthy Families, Peach State, Amerigroup and WellCare, is sponsoring an event to enroll children in PeachCare from 2 to 5 p.m. today and Thursday at the Sylvan Hills Easter Seals Child Development Center, located at 1757 Melrose Drive in Atlanta.

Enrollment will also take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 27-28 at the Mansell Easter Seals Child Development Center, located at 80 Mansell Court East in Roswell.

Take The Challenge with author, dietitian Ian Smith

ATLANTA - The Challenge is coming to Atlanta this weekend.

Ian Smith, author of New York Times No. 1 bestseller "Extreme Fat Smash Diet" and diet expert on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, has created the 50 Million Pound Challenge and is bringing it to Atlanta.

The free event will feature live music, free health screenings and a challenge walk with Smith. Included in the activities are performances from R&B singer Keith Sweat, Omarion and Jagged Edge.

The Challenge will run noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Centennial Olympic Park.
