SNELLVILLE - A city councilman has filed paperwork to take on Snellville's mayor in November's election.
Bruce Garraway, who has been considered a candidate in the race for months, filed the paperwork that allows him to raise money for a campaign on July 3. Garraway, a teacher, was elected to the council in 2003 at age 32. At the time, he was considered a running mate of Mayor Jerry Oberholtzer. But since that time, the two have battled on issues including the recent controversy surrounding former city manager Jeff Timler. Garraway did not return repeated phone messages left last week and Monday.More like this story
