WINDER - Barrow County will get another sewer pump station within a year.
Tuesday, county commissioners will vote on whether to approve an engineering contract to design that pump station on Ga. Highway 53 near Statham. Commissioners will consider awarding the contract to H.S. Feldman Inc. for field surveys, design, easement plats and bid documents at a cost of $122,443. The goal for completion of the project is one year, according to documents prepared by Terry Darragh, public works director. The total costs of the sewer project, including construction and design, is $2.4 million.More like this story
