Mr. and Mrs. Terry Day of Acworth, formerly of Lawrenceville, and Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Olmen of Mathews, N.C., formerly of Snellville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kibbie Marie Olmen of Acworth, formerly of Lawrenceville, to Roberto Fernando Finn of Fayetteville, N.C., formerly of Grayson, son of Decio Pedo of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Maria Funicelli of Loganville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Wales Jenkins of Reynolds and the late Otzie Jenkins, and Robert Olmen of Inverness, Fla., and the late Catherine Olmen. She is a 2003 graduate of The American School. She studied theater arts at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Kennesaw State University. She is employed as a licensed real estate agent.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fernando Funicelli, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Adolpho Pedo. He is a 2003 graduate of Grayson High School. He is employed by the Army as an airborne ranger, and has served with the 82nd Airborne Division. He is in Army Special Forces training.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 6 at Smyrna First United Methodist Church.
