SNELLVILLE - Antionette Howard scored 19 points, including her 1,000th career point, to help South Gwinnett defeat Grayson 59-25 on Friday night in Region 8-AAAAA girls basketball.
Alex Winchell scored 14 for the Comets while Lindley Hewatt added 10 points. Emily Collins scored nine points for Grayson. South Gwinnett is now 18-2 overall and 9-0 in the region. GIRLS BASKETBALL Central 52, Parkview 44 LAWRENCEVILLE - Jasmine Stovall scored 19 points to help Central Gwinnett defeat Parkview 52-44 on Friday. Shawna Land had 18 points for Central. The Black Knights improved their record to 13-5 overall and 6-3 in region. Collins Hill 51, Peachtree Ridge 21 SUWANEE - Maya Moore led Collins Hill with 14 points, nine rebounds, six steals and three assists as the top-ranked Eagles cruised past Peachtree Ridge 51-21 Friday. Jordan Jones scored 12 points while Taylor Dalrymple had 11 points and four steals for Collins Hill (21-0). Emily Wortman scored eight points for Peachtree Ridge. Duluth 44, North Forsyth 33 DULUTH - Daphne Adebayo scored 11 points to help Duluth top North Forsyth 44-33 Friday night. Kelley Reeves scored 12 points for North Forsyth. Duluth is 16-5 overall and 9-4 in region. Norcross 58, South Forsyth 50 NORCROSS - Tiffany Clarke had 25 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks to help Norcross top South Forsyth 58-50 on Friday night. Nicole Jones had 22 points, five assists and five steals as Norcross' overall record improves to 6-16. Dacula 45, Winder-Barrow 39 DACULA - Abbie Daniel had 17 points and six rebounds as Dacula defeated Winder-Barrow 45-39 on Friday night. Eve Machovec had nine points, 14 rebounds and three blocks for Dacula (12-9, 5-3). GAC 65, Buford 46 BUFORD - Chaney Means scored 13 points to help top-ranked GAC defeat Buford 65-46 Friday night. Kiara Swanier added 12 points while Bria Smith had 11 for GAC. Kelly Tucker and Jocelyn Danley each scored 12 points for Buford. GAC is now 19-1 while Buford is 10-9 overall and 7-5 in region. Hebron 65, Social Circle 55 DACULA - Meredith Montgomery had 21 points and 10 rebounds to help Hebron top Social Circle 65-55 on Friday. Courtney Odum scored 11 points while Britt Pecht had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Hebron (14-3). Providence 51, Galloway 13 LILBURN - Maggie Brown had 11 points to help Providence defeat Galloway 51-13 Friday night. Caroline Adams had nine points and eight rebounds for Providence, whose record improves to 12-8 overall and 7-1 in region. GGC 41, Shiloh Hills 31 KENNESAW - Michelle Smith had 16 points and eight rebounds to help Greater Gwinnett Christian top Shiloh Hills 41-31 Friday night. Diamond Smith had 10 rebounds for GGC. BOYS BASKETBALL Central 85, Parkview 64 LAWRENCEVILLE - Richard Howell scored 24 points to help lead Central Gwinnett to an 85-64 win over Parkview on Friday. Sam Goodman scored 22 points while Bryce Smith added 11 for Central. Yaw Gyawu scored 35 points for Parkview. Central led 44-28 at the half and got its lead up to 68-44 by the end of the third quarter. Central is now 11-7 overall and 6-3 in region. Peachtree Ridge 72, Collins Hill 64 SUWANEE - Zach Graham scored 21 points to help Peachtree Ridge defeat Collins Hill 72-64 on Friday. Kevin Anderson added 19 points for Peachtree Ridge (18-3, 10-2). Chris Cooper scored 19 points while Jeremy Olsen had 15 points and eight rebounds for Collins Hill. Norcross 62, South Forsyth 27 NORCROSS - Tony Neysmith scored 15 points to help Norcross top South Forsyth 62-27 on Friday. Al-Farouq Aminu had 12 points while Gani Lawal added 11 for Norcross. The Blue Devils are now 20-2 overall and 13-0 in region play. North 68, F orsyth Central 33 CUMMING - Ebuka Anyaorah scored 17 points to help lead North Gwinnett to a 68-33 victory over Forsyth Central Friday. North Gwinnett is now 13-8 overall and 8-5 in region. Duluth 49, North Forsyth 45 DULUTH - Eugene Sain scored 14 points to help Duluth top North Forsyth 49-45 on Friday. Caleb Samples and Dexter Bledsoe each scored nine points for Duluth. Dacula 70, Winder-Barrow 63 DACULA - Justin Rush scored 33 points on Friday to help Dacula defeat Winder-Barrow 70-63 and improve its overall record to 14-7. Brian Cole scored 18 points and added 10 rebounds for Dacula. Wesleyan 53, Avondale 32 NORCROSS - Tanner Smith scored 15 points to help Wesleyan top Avondale 53-32 on Friday and improve its record to 17-4. Dillon McLaughlin added 10 points for Wesleyan. Providence 53, Galloway 39 LILBURN - Andy Vess scored 17 points to help Providence cruise past Galloway 53-39 Friday night. Durk Stanton added 16 points for Providence as the Stars' overall record improved to 16-3. GGC 74, Shiloh Hills 72 KENNESAW - J.D. Davis scored 24 points to help GGC top Shiloh Hills 74-72 in triple overtime Friday night. Jerrid Anderson had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Barons.
