LAWRENCEVILLE - A grand jury this week indicted two Gwinnett County men charged in two separate cases involving sexual abuse of a child.
Hector Dominguez, 38, is charged with child molestation and aggravated sexual battery; and Sean Kendall Amaya, 34, is charged with aggravated sodomy and child molestation. Both are still being held in the county detention center, said Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Darren Moloney. Dominguez is believed to have sexually abused a relative from Oct. 1, 2003, to March 31, 2006, by inappropriately touching her private areas, according to the bill of indictment. Moloney said the girl was staying with a family member out of town last summer when she complained about the abuse. Dominguez, who admitted to the accusations according to Moloney, has not made his $22,200 bond. Moloney also said Dominguez's wife was arrested after she assaulted him for the alleged acts against the girl. Amaya, who is being held without bond, was arrested and charged with having inappropriate contact with a then-13-year-old girl with special needs, Moloney said. In addition to inappropriate contact, he is also accused of sodomizing the child, according to the indictment. In other grand jury action, a Duluth man has been indicted on charges stemming from an October incident involving a break-in and attempted rape. Oscar Hernandez-Hernandez, 26, is charged with burglary, aggravated assault, kidnapping with bodily injury and criminal attempt to commit burglary. As for the incident, Moloney said in a previous report that Hernandez-Hernandez is believed to have entered a woman's home through an unlocked door while she was sleeping. During the attempted rape, the woman fought back and Hernandez-Hernandez fled the residence, Moloney said. Moloney said Hernandez-Hernandez's wallet was found in the woman's home, which led investigators to his home. After an interview, he was arrested and taken into custody. All three cases have been assigned judges.More like this story
