Woman locks would-be thieves in basement
LILBURN - A Lilburn woman discovered two men attempting to rob her Pine Pass Lane home Monday morning. According to a police report, the 55-year-old woke up when she heard the doorbell and discovered the two men in her home when she came downstairs. The men fled to the basement, where she locked them. She then ran to a neighbor's house to call police. Officers determined the men exited the home through a basement window but did not take anything from the home. Drive-through window broken into; $10 missing STONE MOUNTAIN - An employee of Gwinnett Cleaners at 5385 Five Forks Trickum Road told police Monday someone broke into the business through the drive-through window. According to a police report, $10 in coins was missing from the register but nothing else was taken. Robbers escape through dog door LAWRENCEVILLE - A Lawrenceville woman told police Monday her mother caught two men trying to rob their home on Foster Mill Lane. The 69-year-old woman came down stairs when she heard her dog barking and discovered two men wearing ski masks in her kitchen, according to a police report. The men fled through a dog door.
