Mrs. Bertie Ruth Puckett Clinton, age 82, of Buford, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Grady Clinton; daughter, Brenda Ruth Clinton; parents, Henry and Mamie White Puckett; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her: Son: James Clinton, Buford, GA; Grandchildren: Brandon Clinton, Donovan Clinton, Amanda Clinton, Jermiah Tant; Brother and Sister-in-Law; Hoyt and Betty Ruth Puckett, Buford, GA. Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Mrs. Clinton was born in Gwinnett County, GA on November 11, 1924. She was a homemaker and a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church, Buford, GA. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Farrell Presley officiating. Edwin Nash Fite of Gainesville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 21, 2007 after an extended illness, which he fought bravely. The Family received friends Tuesday evening at Mason & Ward Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in the chapel of Mason & Ward Funeral Home. He was the son of the late Bloomer Wesley & Johnnie Mell Fite. Mr. Fite was a veteran of the United State Air Force. An electrician by trade, he served for 30 years with General Motors Corporation and retired as Superintendent over the Maintenance Department. He loved spending time with his family & little dog "Happy". He was an ordained Deacon and was presently a member of South Bend Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife & best friend of 61 years, Edith P. Fite; daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis & June Wood, Buford, GA, Marion & Wayne Henderson, Hoschton, GA, and Nancy & Bart Miller, Suwanee, GA; 5 grandchildren, Bill & Lori Palmer, Tony & Jennifer Henderson, Vince & Ginny Henderson, Chrystal Wood, and Caroline Miller; 6 great grandchildren, Clara Palmer, Nash, Lauren & Brett Henderson & Natalie & Clayton Wesley Henderson; one brother, John Fite, Lula; and many other friends and family members.
