Residents robbed by armed duo
•DULUTH - Two residents of the Gwinnett Crossing Apartments at 1025 Club Place told police Saturday they were robbed at gunpoint.
According to a police report, the two were approached by two black men, one wearing a white bandanna over his face and armed with a gun, while in the parking lot of the complex.
The men took the man's wallet and the woman's purse before fleeing in a unknown type of vehicle.

•SNELLVILLE - The clerk of the Texaco at 3490 Centerville Highway told police Saturday morning the store was robbed.
According to a police report, two black men dressed in black and wearing ski masks approached the clerk as he was taking out the trash.
One of the men was holding rifle and both demanded the clerk enter the store and give them money.
The men fled the store with more than $1,000 and ran in the direction of a nearby Huddle House restaurant.
Winder man charged with
•CARL - A Winder man was charged with hit-and-run about 11:30 a.m. Monday after allegedly shoplifting a 12-pack of beer earlier that morning.
A manager at Ingles on Ga. Highway 8 in Auburn reportedly saw Timothy Turner, 45, of Winder, take a 12-pack of beer and other items from the store at about 8 a.m. The manager reported Turner's license plate number and description of the car to Auburn Police, Cpl. Danny Sride said.
About 11 a.m., Turner reportedly hit a vehicle in Winder and left the scene, according to Barrow County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Murray Kogod. Deputies caught up with Turner on Ga. 8 near Carl. He was treated for injuries sustained during the car wreck, then transported to the Barrow County Jail. Turner could face more charges.
Dacula home damaged in fire
•DACULA - Firefighters are unsure what caused a fire that damaged one room inside a home on Mill Valley Drive Saturday night.
Lt. Thomas Rutledge wrote in a press release no injuries were reported and no one was home at the time of the fire.
Flames were extinguished before spreading to the remainder of the home.
