Man robs two businesses in one night

•NORCROSS - Police continue to search for a man who robbed two businesses Monday night.

According to a police report, a black man entered the Texaco Station at 5496 Buford Highway in Norcross and stole nearly $500 from the register.

The station clerk told police the man attempted to make a purchase before spraying him in the face with pepper spray and fleeing the store with money from the register.

Police believe the same man robbed another business in DeKalb County about 30 minutes before the Norcross robbery.

Emergency medical help arrived at the store to assist the clerk, but he refused further care.

Man uses note to rob bank

•STONE MOUNTAIN - An employee at Best Bank in Stone Mountain told police a man armed with a handgun robbed the bank Thursday night.

According to a police report, a white man came into the bank inside the Kroger on 1227 Rockbridge Road and handed the employee a note demanding money.

The man fled after taking more than $2,000 from the bank.

The man was wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and glasses at the time of the robbery.

Thief takes restaurant's register, cash

•TUCKER - A Tucker restaurant was robbed Thursday morning, according to a police report.

Police arrived at the Xinh Xinh Cafe at 6330 Lawrenceville Highway after being notified by the restaurant's alarm company.

A register containing $400 to $500 was taken from the cafe, but the cafe manger told police no other items were missing.

Police believe the building was entered by breaking the glass door.
