WINDER - A car chase for a man wanted in two Georgia counties ended in the arrest of a 37-year-old Hoschton man Monday night.
Chief Deputy Murray Kogod, spokesman for the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, said Barrow County deputies received an anonymous tip that William Randall Todd of Hoschton was seen driving on Ga. Highway 81 in Barrow. Todd was wanted by Lawrenceville police on charges of violating probation and on charges of stalking by Jackson County Police, Kogod said. "Our deputies located the suspect and performed a road block," he said. "They pursued him when he fled and laid down spike strips that eventually caused him to run off the road." Kogod said deputies were able to arrest Todd about 9:30 p.m. Monday. He said Todd was driving a stolen vehicle believed to be a pickup truck. The arrest was made on Ga. 81 near Winder close to Fort Yargo State Park. Todd was taken to the Barrow County Detention Center. He said Todd will face multiple charges from Barrow County in addition to the previous charges, including reckless driving and fleeing and attempting to elude an officer.More like this story
