Walker - Semanson

Jerry and Rebecca Walker of Lumber City announce the engagement of their daughter, Katye Suzanne Walker, to Jeffrey Michael Semanson of Lawrenceville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Brian Semanson of Duluth.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ruby Walker and the late Parks Walker of Lumber City and the late John and Mattie Mims of Reynolds. She is a 1994 graduate of Jeff Davis High School. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in business administration and human resource management. She is a graduate of LaGrange College, where she received a master's degree in business administration. She is employed with Eaton Corp. in Athens as a human resources manager.

The future groom is the grandson of Ann Kolodziej of Duluth and the late William Kolodziej of Alpharetta and Virginia Semanson and the late Bill Semanson of Dearborn, Mich. He is a 1996 graduate of Chattahoochee High School in Alpharetta. He attended the College of Charleston in S.C., and then served as an air traffic controller in the U.S. Navy on the USS Nimitz. He is the president and co-owner of Tru-Scape Yard Care in Duluth.

The wedding is planned for Saturday at the Georgia State Botanical Gardens Day Chapel in Athens.

Mullis - Kruppa

Tessell Dalton Mullis Jr. of Alma and Melinda Mullis Deckard of Hortense announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia "Ginny" Louise Mullis of Alma, to Ensign Joseph Jennings Kruppa, son of Kenneth J. Kruppa and Denise L. Kruppa of Snellville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Edward E. Atha and Virginia L. Atha of Alma and Mildred Mullis and the late Tessell Dalton Mullis Sr. of Alma. She is a 1999 graduate of Pierce County High School. She is a 2003 graduate of Waycross College, where she received an associate degree in early childhood education. She is a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in family and consumer sciences.

The future groom is the grandson of June G. Leggett and the late James J. Leggett of Snellville and Geraldine Kruppa-Lamparter and the late Joseph L. Kruppa of Homestead, Fla. He is a 2000 graduate of South Gwinnett High School. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics. He is serving in Hawaii as a Navy Information Warfare Officer.

The wedding is planned for February at the University of Georgia Chapel in Athens.

Dillon - Barnett

Roger and Elaine Dillon of Conyers announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina Jennifer Dillon of Conyers, to Christopher David Barnett of Grayson, son of Bill and Lynn Barnett of Grayson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Donald and Barbara League of Decatur. She is a graduate of Gwinnett Technical College, where she received a degree in commercial photography. She is the co-owner of K&C Photography.

The future groom is the grandson of Bob and Elaine Kaphen of Gainesville and Leon and Glendene Barnett of Loganville. He is a graduate of Gwinnett Technical College, where he received a degree in commercial photography. He is employed as a freelance photographer.

The wedding is planned for July 7 in Atlanta.

Baylor - Dean

Steve and Gail Baylor of Lawrenceville announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren N. Baylor of Lawrenceville, to Phillip A. Dean of Buford, son of Steve and Marilyn Dean of Buford.

The bride-elect is a student at Brenau University, where she is pursuing a degree in early childhood education.

The future groom is a student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is a ministry associate at River's Edge Baptist Church in Suwanee.

The wedding is planned for summer 2008.
