Woman robbed getting into car

•LAWRENCEVILLE - A woman was robbed while getting in her car outside her Camden at Sweetwater apartment, she told police Tuesday.

According to a police report, the woman was approached by a young, black woman.

The victim told police the woman was armed with a gun and demanded her purse and car keys.

The suspect fled in a dark colored passenger car, taking only the victim's purse. The woman told police she refused to hand over her keys.

The victim told police she was unable to get her attacker's license plate number because it was obscured.

Woman charged with robbery

•NORCROSS - A Marietta woman was arrested Monday after allegedly robbing a man then fleeing from police.

According to a police report, officers received a call saying Teneshia Michelle Perkins, 29, of 1518 Garrison Plantation in Marietta was armed with a gun and had robbed a Norcross man at the Norcross Village Mobile Home Park.

When police arrived at the park an officer approached Perkins who was sitting in a white Toyota Corolla.

Perkins fled in the car, but it stalled near a dead end inside the park.

Perkins fled on foot until reaching a fence where officers were able to stop and arrest Perkins, according to the report.

Police determined the car she was driving had been reported stolen earlier Monday. Perkins was charged with armed robbery, fleeing and eluding a police officer and theft by receiving.

Missing patient found in locked room

•WINDER - A man suffering from Alzheimer's disease went missing Friday.

The man's nurse called police after he had been missing for about 40 minutes. Several Winder police officers went to the location to help with the search.

The man was found about one hour later in a locked room, about 30 feet from where the officer took the missing person report. He was transported to Eastside Hospital at his family's request.

Woman charged with drunkenness

•WINDER - On Wednesday, Winder police officers gave a reportedly intoxicated 57-year-old woman a ride home after receiving a complaint from a Winder man. The man told police that she would not leave his home.

The officer drove her home and warned her that she would be arrested if she returned to the man's house. The woman returned to the man's home about 30 minutes later, according to police reports.

Police arrested Gwendolyn Rea Dassing of Stockbridge and charged her with public drunkenness and entry upon private property.
