Barbara Wanda Gebo, cherished wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother passed on to Heaven on January 9, 2007. According to her wishes, Barbara died in her home surrounded by family. Embracing Hospice and their “angels of mercy”, cared for her during her final days. Barbara was born to Polish immigrant parents, Paul and Helen Gemborys, on September 29, 1933, in the small furniture manufacturing city of Gardner, Massachusetts. She was the fourteenth child of fifteen children. She was a devout Catholic, and a member of St. John Neumann Church in Lilburn, Georgia, where she was a member of Hilltoppers Club. During her 73 years on this earth, Barbara lived her life to the fullest. She was an avid reader, involved in politics, loved to garden, and was a talented seamstress. Barbara is survived by her husband of 55 years Joseph Francis Gebo of Lawrenceville, Georgia; three children, Mrs. Deborah Fulbright of Toccoa, Georgia, Michael Patrick Gebo of Lilburn, Georgia and John Paul Gebo of Winder, Georgia. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Kim Black Gebo of Winder, Georgia and son-in-law, Tony E. Fulbright of Toccoa, Georgia; also, two sisters and six brothers. She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother to her seven grandchildren, Rory Winsor, Meghan Gebo, Crystal Fulbright, Sade Windsor, Maureen Gebo, Joseph Francis Gebo, II; Abigail Gebo and one great granddaughter, Ava Moseley. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, January 15, 2007 at 12:00p.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 801 Tom Smith Road, Lilburn, Georgia.
