Mrs. Lucy Rainey Brooks Hamil, age 86 of Snellville, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2007. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2007 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Lawson and Rev. Kenneth Hughes will officiate. Burial Haynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Loganville. She is survived by Children: Son: Rev. Kenneth Hughes and wife, Betty, Snellville; Daughters: Linda Reagan and husband, Clifford, Rex; Joanne Hewatt, Grayson; Grandchildren: Steve Hughes, Conyers; Joy Moore and husband, Terry, Stockbridge; Melanie Strange, Loganville; Shanda Hewatt, Conyers; Misti Yang and husband, Bobby, Atlanta; Great Grandchildren: Amanda and Brittni Hughes, Covington; Joshua Strange, Loganville; Wesley Moore, Stockbridge; Brooke and Blake Wread, Loganville; Sisters: Louise Christopher, Dacula; Ruby Spruill and husband, Carl, Auburn; Sister-in-law: Eunice Wade, Loganville; Several Nieces and Nephews. Lucy worked for many years as a LPN at Button Gwinnett Hospital and went on to retire from Gwinnett County Health Department. Flowers accepted or memorials to Alzheimer's Association, 1925 Century Blvd., NE, Suite 10, Atlanta, Georgia 30345. Family will receive friends from 2-4 PM & 6-9 PM, Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045.
