LAWRENCEVILLE - A Dacula dentist has been charged in connection with an incident of sexual battery that occurred in a dental office last fall.
Dr. Frederick C. Chuo, 29, then of Alpharetta, is charged with felony sexual battery for allegedly touching the breasts of a 15-year-old female patient from Winder, according to the arrest warrant. He was arrested Oct. 9 and bonded out of the detention center the next day, said Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Darren Moloney. As of Wednesday, Chuo had not been indicted on the sexual battery charge, according to an official with the district attorney's office. The alleged incident occurred in early October at a dental office located at 3611 Braselton Highway Suite 104 in Dacula, the warrant says. Chuo is accused of touching the girl's breast twice without her consent and rubbing his fingers between them, the warrant says. The victim's mother, who asked to remain anonymous, said the alleged incident occurred while her daughter was in the dentist's chair and had been injected with a local anesthetic. According to the police report, the mother said "her daughter had been to the dentist and that (Chuo) had touched her inappropriately during the visit." Chuo could not be reached for comment Wednesday night.More like this story
