LAWRENCEVILLE - Traffic will be slowed tonight so crews can move a crane for the Interstate 85/Ga. Highway 316 construction project.
Georgia Transportation spokeswoman Teri Pope said law enforcement officers will pace cars on I-85 northbound for about 10 minutes sometime between 8:30 p.m. and midnight.
"Traffic will be slowed down at Jimmy Carter Boulevard. The slow down will create a break in traffic so crews can move the crane across the interstate," Pope said. "This is the only lane closure planned this week. Daily work will continue to occur on the project but will not require lane closures."
