Lillie Mae Beck Cavanaugh Rice, 75, died peacefully at home and surrounded by her family just two weeks before her 76th birthday on January 7, 2007. A Graveside Service was held at 3:00PM, Tuesday, at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. A native of Forsyth County, she was the daughter of the later Mary M. Simmons and Marvin P. Beck. She was a homemaker and thoroughly enjoyed her family and their times together. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton L. Cavanaugh, Sr. and a son, Tommy Wayne Cavanaugh. Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Donna Childress and Tony of Thomasville, and daughter, Renee C. Burchett of Walkertown; son and daughter in law, Dalton Lee Cavanaugh, Jr. and Lea Anne of Buford, GA; sister, Dorcas McNeil; brothers, Jack, Tom, and Rev. Joe Beck; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family received friends following the service until 9PM at the home of Donna Childress, 125 Hiatt Road, Thomasville.
