Holden - Falk
Julie Kay Holden of Atlanta and Capt. Jesse Leon Falk of Angola, Ind. were married July 1 at the Cadet Chapel in West Point, N.Y.
The bride is the daughter of Silas and Sara Holden of Atlanta. She is a 1994 graduate of Berkmar High School. She is a graduate of Berry College, where she received a bachelor's degree in family and community services. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado, where she received a master's degree in counseling and human services. She is employed as a high school counselor at Air Academy High School located at the United States Air Force Academy.
The groom is the son of Lois Falk of Okeechobee, Fla., and Dennis and Lorraine Falk of Ossian, Ind. He is a 1996 graduate of Angola High School. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., where he received a bachelor's degree in economics. He is employed as the deputy director of Intelligence for Missiles for the North American Aerospace Defense Command and the United States Northern Command, stationed at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado.
The couple resides in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Morrison - Handy
Kelli R. Morrison of Duluth and Lt. Michael Truman Handy of Peachtree City were married Nov. 25 at the Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City. The Rev. John Weber officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Sherry Morrison of Buford. She a 2000 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in math. She is employed with Liberty Mutual Insurance.
The groom is the son of Douglas and Debi Handy of Peachtree City. He is a 2000 graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia. He is employed as an Air Force fighter pilot.
Rachel Lomax of Gainesville served as the bride's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Adele Handy, Diana Lee, Melissa Lash and Jessica King.
Caitlin Lomax served as the flower girl.
Christopher Handy of Peachtree City served as the groom's best man. Groomsmen were Jake Fox, Ryan Mead, Jason McCrillis, Andy Lash, Craig Handy and Kyle Morrison.
After a honeymoon to Las Vegas, the couple now resides in Phoenix.
Bay - Griffin
Nancy Jo Bay Wright of Loganville and Jeffrey S. Griffin of Lawrenceville were married Dec. 27 in Lawrenceville. The Rev. William Bratley officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Virginia Pearl Bay and the late Floyd Earl Bay of Columbus, Ind. She is employed with the Walton County Board of Education.
The groom is the son of Lydia Griffin and the late William R. Griffin of Lawrenceville. He is employed at the Walton Regional Medical Center.
Kate Wright and Emily Wright served as the bride's maids of honor.
Taylor Hall-Griffin served as the groom's best man.
The couple now resides in Lawrenceville.
Bonnie and Ethleen Harris of Jefferson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 24. Bonnie and Ethleen were born and raised in the Buford area and resided in Gwinnett County for more than 40 years.
Carl D. and Kathleen T. Finder of Lawrenceville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 28. Carl was born in 1929 in Hackensack, N.J., and Kathy was born in 1932 in Grand Rapids, Mich. The Finders have three sons and nine grandchildren.
