LAWRENCEVILLE - An East Point man was arrested Thursday morning by Gwinnett County deputies in connection with an alleged incident of animal cruelty last fall.
Terallys Chalmers, 32, was arrested while working at an Atlanta restaurant and transported to the Gwinnett County Detention Center, said Stacey Bourbonnais, spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Department. He is charged with cruelty to animals. Bourbonnais said Chalmers allegedly used a knife to cut the throat of his dog while they were walking near his Gwinnett residence in October. Chalmers had since moved to East Point, she said. Chalmers was still in the detention center Thursday night.More like this story
