Men arrested, charged with stealing mowers from Home Depot

SNELLVILLE - Two men were arrested Monday for allegedly stealing nearly $6,000 worth of lawn equipment from a Snellville Home Depot.

Chief Roy Whitehead, spokesman for the Snellville Police Department, said Denovian Mango, 39, of Morrow and Anttron Cato, 27, of Decatur were arrested Monday morning after a Snellville officer noticed the men driving a white van pulling a tarp-covered trailer.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, Whitehead said the officer found two riding lawn mowers and four push mowers the men allegedly stole from the Home Depot at 1670 Scenic Highway. Whitehead said the sales stickers from the mowers were removed, but found inside the men's van.

Police found the fence and lock located behind the store where the mowers were stored broken.
