Cleo Idess Moss, age 92, of Lilburn, went home to be with the Lord and her heavenly family on February 10, 2007 after a long illness. She was a native of Between, GA (Walton County) and had lived in Lilburn for the past 50 years, where she raised her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Madison Fincher Moss, her parents, Benjamin Franklin Jones and Suzanna Palmer Jones, also of Between, GA, daughters, Mary Ann and Ina Jean Moss, granddaughter, Donna Sue Anderson Pickering. Cleo lived a full life as a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to her loved ones. Cleo and Matt Moss were blessed with 11 children. She spent many hours raising and teaching her children how to make it in life, as they grew older. She always wanted to make company feel right at home when visiting and would cook up large meals for her guest. She loved to sing, draw art pictures and write songs. She passed on these talents to many of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed working for Gwinnett County School System in the lunch rooms, at Lilburn Middle and Lilburn Elementary Schools. Seeing the children and adults enjoy the rolls that she had made really made her proud. Cleo was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Between, GA and raised her family to be Christians. She is survived by one sister, Edna Allen of Monroe, GA and sister in law, Virginia Moss of Parkersburg, WV. Also her children, Frances Reeder, Dearborn, MI, William J. Moss, Havelock, NC, Patty and Joe Anderson, Loganville, GA, Madison and Earnestine Moss, Lithonia, GA, Irene and Griff Brown, Loganville, GA, Glenn Moss, Flowery Branch, GA, James and Ann Moss, Auburn, GA, Janet and Jerry Askew, Flowery Branch, GA, Linda Carnes, Lilburn, GA, Laura Moss, Buford, GA, Tim Moss of Taylorsville. Cleo was blessed with 29 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 12, 2007 in the Bill Head Funeral Home Lilburn/Tucker Chapel with her grandsons, Rev. Jerry Barrett and Rev. Kenny Barrett officiating. Burial will be in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, New Hope Rd. in Between, GA. Francis Jay Petrassi, of Lilburn, GA, formerly of Trumbull, CT, born June 29, 1935 passed February 4th leaving Margaret Rita Petrassi his beloved wife of 50 years. Frank graduated from Fairfield College Preparatory School and was retired from The Bullard Manufacturing Co. of Bridgeport, CT. He was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and past Chairman of Sea Scout Ship #110. Also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Lisa Petrassi of Lilburn, GA, his daughter, Kathryn Petrassi of Fairfield, CT, son, Kenneth Petrassi of Lawrenceville, GA, and two beautiful granddaughters, Alexis and Victoria. Michael R. (Mike) Jones, age 21 of Monroe, GA, died February 9, 2007. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, grandparents, George and Rose Yingling and is survived by his mother and step father, Lindy and William E. Fain of Snellville; sister, Elisabeth Jones of Decatur; brother, Jacob Fain of Snellville; maternal grandparents, Cleveland and Joyce Johnson of Lilburn; paternal grandfather, Jerry Rueweller of Winder; grandmother, Sara B. He was employed with BellSouth for the past 7 years. He was a 1980 graduate of Tucker High School and a 1985 graduate of Auburn University. He was a member of St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church.
