Woman catches thief in her bedroom

•LAWRENCEVILLE - A 52-year-old Lawrenceville woman told police Sunday someone broke into her home while she was there.

According to a police report, a white man entered her bedroom about 11 p.m. Sunday, but he fled when she screamed for him to leave. Police responded to the woman's 911 call but did not find the man when they arrived. Police believe the man may have entered by forcing open a window in the garage of her Muscovy Court home.

Woman attacked during food delivery

•DULUTH - A 19-year-old pizza delivery woman was robbed Sunday as she attempted to deliver food to someone at the Saratoga Springs Apartments in Duluth.

According to a police report, the woman was approached by a man with a shotgun as she walked down the breezeway of the apartments. She was also knocked on the ground when she was hit in the head by an other man. The men took her wallet and the food she was delivering before running from the scene. The woman believes the men were 17 to 23 years old.

Cigarettes, not money, taken from BP

•DACULA - Someone stole nearly $5,000 worth of cigarettes from the BP gas station at 2483 Hamilton Mill Parkway on Monday a station manager told police.

An employee found the door to the store room propped open with a piece of cardboard and noticed the cigarettes were gone, according to a police report. The cigarettes were the only items missing from the store. An officer who came to the scene found the station's alarm had been disabled and surveillance cameras were turned toward the wall.
