"Going Away Party"

God sent to earth an angel

to touch everyone she met

and once you met her,

she was hard to forget.

She really loved people

no matter how big or small

No matter if they were rich or poor, she truly loved them all.

She faced many trials,

but always saw them through.

She praised Jesus to the highest; Lord she depended upon you.

She was crippled from

childhood, but it did

not get her down.

She faced bouts of cancer and now she wears her Crown.

On the fourth of February in the year 2007,

Alice Shannon Miller Drane

departed this world for Heaven.

She was never able to run here, but she told me this story;

"When I get to Heaven, I will run through the fields of Glory.

When I see Jesus and

sit at His feet,

All I have to offer Him is

something Oh, so sweet.

I praised your name on earth, the Bible everyday I read,

Your Holy Name was honored, by the things I did and said."

I am finally in Glory Land

laughing loud and hearty,

While loved ones on earth

are having my

"Going Home Party."
