Vacant Barrow lot burns one-half acre

•WINDER - A vacant, wooded lot between four houses in the Ashley Oaks subdivision burned Wednesday.

Winder firefighters responded about 11:15 a.m. to the location off Rockwell Church Road. Reports state the fire burned about one-half acre and was extinguished in about 30 minutes. No houses were in danger, a Winder Fire Department spokesman said.

Woman arrested, charged with trespassing

•AUBURN - Auburn police arrested Barbara Weaver, 33, of Lebanon, Pa., Monday for allegedly breaking her ex-brother-in-law's car windshield with a metal rod.

The brother-in-law told police that Weaver came to his home and he watched her break the front windshield. Weaver then went to the Ingles parking lot to meet with the man's wife to pick up her child.

Auburn police caught up with her at Ingles. She was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and for driving with a suspended license.

Air compressor taken from truck

AUBURN - A man reported his employer's air compressor taken from his truck Jan. 22.

The man told police he had left the air compressor in his truck bed overnight. When he awoke, the air compressor was gone. He had no serial number, but stated it was a yellow DeWOH Walt air compressor.
