Sullivan - Van Buren

Linda Rateliff of Texarkana, Texas, announces the engagement of her daughter, Christy Denise Sullivan of Lawrenceville, to Matthew Benjamin Van Buren of Lawrenceville, son of Pat and Lynne Van Buren of Snellville.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late T.C. Rateliff. She is employed as an emergency nurse practitioner with Gwinnett Emergency Specialists.

The future groom is the grandson of Robert and Shirley Gilbert of St. Pete Beach, Fla. He is employed as a deputy sheriff with the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department and he is also a member of the SWAT team.

The wedding is planned for spring 2007.

Martin - Parker

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Martin of Lawrenceville announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Michele Martin of Lawrenceville, to William "Trey" Parker III of Norcross, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Parker II of Knoxville, Tenn.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. She is employed as an insurance agent with Hood Insurance Agency.

The future groom is a graduate of Samford University. He is employed as the chief operating officer for Booster Enterprises.

The wedding is planned for March 31 in Buford.

Snead - Butts

Jeff and Judy Snead of Dacula announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Michelle Snead of Suwanee, to Travis Alan Butts of Duluth, son of Skip and Brooke Butts of South Carolina.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Frankie Baldwin and the late Lamar Baldwin of Snellville and Mr. and Mrs. Judson Snead of Commerce. She is a 2000 graduate of South Gwinnett High School. She is a 2004 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in consumer journalism. She is employed as a marketing specialist with SunTrust Investment Services.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Polk, and Charles Lahser and the late Judith Lahser of South Carolina. He is a 2000 graduate of Irmo High School in South Carolina. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in genetics. He is employed as a sales representative for Omega Bio-Tek.

The wedding is planned for March 3 at The Biltmore in Atlanta.
