NORCROSS - A 19-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot Thursday night at a Norcross apartment complex.
Omar Herrera of Norcross was rushed to the hospital after he was found lying outside wounded by at least one gunshot, said Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Darren Moloney. As of Friday evening, Herrera was listed in critical condition at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. The incident was reported about 8:30 p.m. at the Woodchase apartment complex, located at 5825 Brook Hollow Parkway in Norcross, Moloney said. No suspects had been arrested as of Friday night, but investigators are working leads. Police are also considering the possibility that the incident was not a random occurrence. "They have not ruled out gang involvement," Moloney said. "We're looking into that."
