LAWRENCEVILLE - A face-lift at Interlochen Village in Peachtree Corners hasn't shut down the Norcross-area tag office.
Although traffic to the office has decreased 40 percent since construction started on the common areas, business services manager Paula Martin said the office staff has been there Monday through Friday. "Volumes have gone down once the renovations started," Martin said. "People might be getting the impression that we're not open, but we are." The tag office is located at 5270 Peachtree Parkway, in a shopping center it shares with businesses such as Office Max, Dreamland Barbeque and The Baby's Room. When construction is completed this spring, the shopping center will be known as The Village on the Parkway. "It's going to be really good," Martin said. "It's getting a new name and a new look." The tax commissioner's tag office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about Gwinnett County's tag offices, visit www.gwinnetttaxcommissioner.com, call customer service at 770-822-8818 or e-mail tag@gwinnettcounty.com.More like this story
