Gwinnett County native Betty Jean Peeples Ruark, 74, of Cumming died Dec. 9 at Chestnut Ridge Nursing Home in Cumming. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ruark. A devoted family woman, Betty is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda R. and Danny Busbee of Brayton, Fla., and Lynn R. and Travis Mizell of Cumming; sons, Robert L. Ruark of Cumming and Harold G. Ruark of Brayton Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne P. and Dick Keel, and sister, Rebecca Miller, all of Lawrenceville; sister-in-law, Sarah Peeples; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held at a later date. By her request, her body was donated to Emory Science.
