SNELLVILLE - The Gwinnett County Board of Education on Thursday approved the appointment of Allan Gee as principal at Centerville Elementary School.
The current principal, Barbara Schmich, is retiring this month, said Sloan Roach, spokeswoman for Gwinnett County Public Schools. Gee, an assistant principal at Richards Middle School, will take on his new role in January, Roach said. He has worked at Richards for four years. Gee, who has a doctorate in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University, has taught in Hall County, worked as an assistant principal at Jefferson High School and served as principal of two schools in Alaska.
