Doris Towler Gilbert, age 77, of Doraville, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband: J.B. Gilbert; Sisters: Frances Phillips and Johnnie Towler. She is survived by her Daughters and Sons in law: Anita & Robert Gordon of Augusta, GA, Lara & Daniel Shore of Dallas, TX, Jane & Jeff Williams of Concord, NC; Sons and Daughters in law: Don & Lisa Gilbert of Spring, TX, Joe & Carol Gilbert of Buford, GA; 8 Grandchildren; Sisters: Helen & Doug Greeson of Dacula, GA, Sybil & William Maynard of Winder, GA Margaret & Leo Miller of Loganville, GA; Several nieces and nephews. A native of Gwinnett County, Doris retired after 30 years as secretary at Summerour Middle School in Norcross, GA and was a member and Organist for over 30 years at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Duluth, GA. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. Rev. David Lyle will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, Dacula. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Tom M.
