TVs stolen from entertainment center's closet

DACULA - Two televisions were stolen from inside a locked closet inside a Dacula entertainment business Sunday, a police report said.

An employee of the Stars and Stripes family entertainment center on Winder Highway reported one of closed doors was forced open Friday but nothing was missing at the time.

When the employee returned to the closet again Sunday he discovered the two TVs were missing.

Man punches delivery driver, steals pizza

LILBURN - A Lilburn pizza delivery driver was assaulted by a customer at a Lilburn apartment complex Sunday, according to a police report.

The 51-year-old Pizza Hut driver delivered a pizza to an apartment on Burns Road shortly after 9 a.m. where a Hispanic man took the pizza and then punched the woman in the ear.

The man fled on foot with four black men who had been standing in the breezeway of the apartment complex, the report said.

The woman was able to run to her vehicle and drive to the Pizza Hut on Lawrenceville Highway where she called police.

Man accused of stealing meats

BUFORD - An Auburn man is accused of stealing a shopping cart full of meats then attempting to hide from police.

Richard Darren Atha, 39, of 186 Wages Road reportedly left the Wal-Mart on Sardis Church Road on Monday night without paying for the meat then attempted to flee from authorities, according to an arrest warrant.

Atha was apprehended and charged with theft by shoplifting and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

The 39-year-old posted a $3,500 bond Tuesday.
