Ruth Randolph Adams, age 86, of Tucker, Lawrenceville and Bryson City, NC, passed away December 1, 2007. The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 7, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons. Visitation and luncheon reception 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2007 with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Grady Mosley of Prospect United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Riverdale, GA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William (Bill) Adams of Tucker, GA; son, Stephen Randolph Adams of Tucker, GA; daughter, Viki Adams Jones and her husband, Tim of Lawrenceville; her grandchildren, Lauren Ashley, Matthew, Michael, Landon, and Logan Jones, all of Lawrenceville, GA and her great grandson, 22 month old, Ryker Pickering Jones. She was preceded in death by her 4 brothers, Wallace, Doug, Ed and Kent Randolph, all of the Atlanta area. Her sisters in law are: Edith Randolph Turner of Snellville, GA, Thelma Randolph of Loganville; first cousins, Margaret Randolph Jones of Tulsa, OK, Carolyn & Jack Delay of Alpharetta, GA and Ferris Breedlove of Bryson City, NC; also a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a star basketball player during the war years, Miss B-29, and sang in a trio on the radio and television. She was the first female executive with Southern Bell Telephone Company with 33 years of service and then ran Randolph House Country Inn in Bryson City, North Carolina for an additional 33 years working until the age of 83. A memorial service in Bryson City, North Carolina will be held at a later date.
