LAWRENCEVILLE - Shiloh head wrestling coach Jose Helena notched his 300th career win on Tuesday night in the Generals' 58-18 win over Central Gwinnett.

Lucas Austin, Eduardo Martinez and Billy Merfert each won two matches on the night for Shiloh.

Shiloh (10-2) also faced Tucker and lost 48-21.

Dacula beats Salem and Jackson County

DACULA - Dacula improved to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in Region 8-AAAA with a 59-17 win over Salem and 42-34 win over Jackson County.

Picking up two wins for Dacula were Brandon Bulloch (103 pounds), Frankie Miller (112), Noah Hunt (119), Dale Miller (125) and Vitaly Yarmuratiy (140).

Bryson Turner also won two matches at 215 pounds, including a pin in the final match of the day to top Jackson County.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Norcross 86, Forsyth Central 39

NORCROSS - Four Norcross players, led by Al Farouq Aminu's 25 points, hit for double figures on Tuesday as the top-ranked Blue Devils blasted Forsyth Central 86-39 in Region 7-AAAAA play.

Tarriq Mohammad scored 12 points while Denzail Jones and A.J. Hawkins each scored 10 as Norcross improved to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the region.

Mill Creek 51, North Forsyth 48

CUMMING - Mill Creek won its first game of the season on Tuesday with a 51-48 defeat of North Forsyth.

Chris Avery led Mill Creek (1-6, 1-2) with 13 points and six assists while Chaser Anderson followed with 13 points and four rebounds.

Collins Hill 68, North Gwinnett 52

SUWANEE - Collins Hill improved to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in Region 7-AAAAA on Tuesday by beating North Gwinnett 68-52.

Jeremy Olsen added 20 points for Collins Hill while Ebuka Anyaorah led North with 18 points.

GAC 78, Walker 55

ATLANTA - Eleven different Greater Atlanta Christian players scored, led by 16 from Brett Johnson, as the Spartans pounded Walker 78-55 on Tuesday in Region 6-AA action.

Taylor Metzger added 13 points for GAC (6-0, 2-0) while Chase Hudson and Ryan Ransom each finished with 10.

Buford 52, Lovett 42

ATLANTA - Buford evened its record at 1-1 on Tuesday with a 52-42 win over Lovett in Region 6-AA action.

Leading the way for Buford (1-1 region) were Jeramie Moore with 15 points, Landon Hodnett with 12 points and Jordan Williams with 10 points.

Josh Penland also played a strong game defensively by holding Alex Elam, Lovett's leading scorer, to 13 points.

Wesleyan 82, Creekview 45

CANTON - Tanner Smith tied his own school record with 20 assists on Tuesday night in leading Wesleyan to an 82-45 win over Region 6-AA opponent Creekview.

Smith also had 17 points while Howard Thompkins led all scorers with 29 points for Wesleyan (3-1, 2-0).

Lakeview 82, Hebron Christian 37

DACULA - Five different Lakeview players scored in double digits on Tuesday as Lakeview cruised to an 82-37 win over Hebron Christian.

Hebron (1-4) was led by 13 points from James Floyd and nine from Josh Manga.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Mill Creek 61, North Forsyth 41

CUMMING - Porsha Porter scored 12 points on Tuesday to help Mill Creek to a 61-41 win over North Forsyth in a Region 7-AAAAA game.

Olivia Towers-Solis and Moneshia Simmons each helped with 10 points for Mill Creek (7-0, 3-0) while Simmons grabbed eight rebounds.

Norcross 60, Forsyth Central 56

NORCROSS - Norcross picked up its first Region 7-AAAAA win on Tuesday by beating Forsyth Central 60-56.

Tiffany Clarke led Norcross (2-3, 1-1) with 21 points and 10 rebounds while Bianca O'Neal added 17 points. Nicole Jones also played well with 12 points, five steals and three assists.

Lithia Springs 50, Grayson 41

LOGANVILLE - Meme Wilson scored 14 points on Tuesday to lead Lithia Springs in its 50-41 win over Grayson in a non-region game.

Taren White of Grayson (2-3) had a game-high 17 points.

Wesleyan 79, Creekview 34

CANTON - Erin Hall led all players with 22 points as Wesleyan crushed Creekview 79-34 on Tuesday in a Region 6-AA game.

Anne Marie Armstrong added 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for Wesleyan (4-2, 2-0) while Chantel Kennedy finished with 11 points and seven boards.

Buford 43, Lovett 26

ATLANTA - Michelle Godwin scored 15 points and Blanche Alverson added 14 more as Buford knocked off Lovett 43-26 in Region 6-AA play on Tuesday.

The win improved Buford to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the region.

GAC 56, Walker 30

ATLANTA - Anjelica Wilcox had 17 points and four assists Tuesday night in leading Greater Atlanta Christian to a 56-30 win over Walker.

Briana Jordan added 14 points and five assists for GAC (5-1, 2-0) while Clarke Boards and Loren Hodge each scored eight.

Lakeview 40, Hebron Christian 37

DACULA - Too many costly turnovers in the fourth quarter doomed Hebron Christian in Tuesday's loss the to Lakeview.

The Lions lost 40-37 and moved the team's record to 2-3 for the season.

Britt Pecht led Hebron with 20 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Brittany Moore was Lakeview's leading scorer with 11 points.
