William Robert “Bob” Calhoun, age 60, of Lawrenceville, GA died December 3, 2007 after a courageous battle with liver disease. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Wanda Moore Calhoun; Daughter & Son-in-Law, Christi & Matthew King and Grandson, Landry Matthew King all of Duluth, GA; Niece & Husband, Joanne & Bill Odum and 2 Great Nephews, Christopher & Samuel Odum all of Bryant, AK; Nephew, Billy Curtis; Cousins and a host of many friends along with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Family and his special group of USMOT Friends. Bob was born on August 12, 1947 in Little Rock, AK and graduated from high school in Kennett, Missouri. He graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Radio and Television Journalism with a minor in Newspaper Journalism. He worked for 30 years as a Hardware Systems Engineer in the banking industry and most recently as a TST for the Gwinnett County School System since 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mayme & Riley Sanders of Cabot, AK; Father & Mother-in-Law, Dean Robert Moore of Arkansas State University & his wife Auline Hill Moore; and Sister-in-Law, Doris Moore Brooks. A Memorial Service Celebrating the of Life of Bob Calhoun will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Snellville, GA with Dr. Jeff Gongwer and Rev. Larry Miz officiating. Interment will be held at the East Shadowlawn Cemetery Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
