Loyd Lynn Brown, 66, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away Saturday evening, November 17, 2007. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM, December 5, 2007 at Bill Head Funeral Home Duluth Chapel, with Rev. John Baker officiating. Interment Memorial Gardens, Maryville, MO. Loyd was born in Tennyson, TX. He and his parents moved to Norton, KS in 1953. At the age of 16, he began working with his brother Bill in the oil fields. During his career of 28 years he worked for many oil companies, both in the US and abroad. Loyd eventually moved to St. Joseph, MO where he met his wife, Marie. They were married in Las Vegas, NV on August 14, 1985. They lived in Missouri until moving to Atlanta in 1989. Loyd worked for Northside Packing in Cumming, GA for 5 years as maintenance supervisor. He then went to work at Suzanna's Kitchen Inc. in Duluth, GA as maintenance supervisor and retired from there in 2006. He is survived by his wife, Marie, of the home, two daughters, Bridgett Earlywine of Clarksville, TN, Brenda Valeri of Dahlonega, GA, two sons, Will and Wade Brown of Lake Havasu City, AZ, two step-children, Laurence Davison and Aneta Murphy of Clearmont, MO, three sisters, Wanda Holden of Georgetown, TX, Mary Doherty of Sherman, TX, Lena Laughlin of Norton, KS, 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
