Here is a simple way to help your fellow man: Sign your organ donor card. There are tens of thousands who are currently waiting on the organ donor list. In the United States alone, there are more than 96,000 people on the organ donor list.
Three quarters of those in need of an organ transplant are waiting for a kidney. Sadly, more than half of them die before a matching organ becomes available. You can make a huge difference in these numbers by signing your organ donor card. It's easy. Just sign the allotted line on your driver's license next time you renew it. In the meantime, you can go online and print out a temporary card. Don't get me wrong, I'm not wishing anyone harm. I hope for a long, healthy and happy life for all. But just in case tragedy does strike, how wonderful would it be to give life through death.More like this story
