Mrs. Hazel Day Tatum, age 85, of Buford, GA, went to her Heavenly Home to be with her Lord Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 27, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd E. Tatum and daughter, Medina Ann Tatum. Surviving are: Daughter and Son-in-Law: Helen and D. L. Vaughan, Cumming, GA; Grandchildren: Teri and Christopher McCuen, Buford, GA, Tina Swanson, Buford, GA; Five Great Grandchildren: Misty Swanson, Amanda Swanson, Medina Swanson, Joshua Williamson, Tasha Williamson; One Great Great Grandchild: Franklin Swanson; Sisters-in-Law and Brothers-in-Law: Donna and Walter Puckett, Buford, GA, Barbara Kozel, Buford, GA, Doris and Quenton Whited, Buford, GA; Brothers-in-Law: Cleo Tatum, Sugar Hill, GA, Clyde Tatum, Buford, GA; Sisters-in-Law: Lorene Tatum, Buford, GA, Mildred Potts, Buford, GA; Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Tatum was born on January 4, 1922 in Gwinnett County, GA. She and her late husband operated Tatum's Ready-to-Wear Store in Cumming, GA for many years. She was a member of the Buford Church of God for over 70 years. She was a member of the Prime Timers at Buford Church of God, was church pianist, Sunday School teacher, a singer at church nursing homes and sang and played at numerous funerals. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Buford Church of God with Rev. Edward Davenport and Rev. Cecil Campbell officiating. Interment to follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Arrangements by Junior E.
