SNELLVILLE - Snellville mayor pro tem Bruce Garraway resigned his council seat Monday, announcing that he will miss the next two council meetings based on what the city charter requires. Garraway will enter the mayor's race, opposing incumbent Jerry Oberholtzer.
Also on Monday night, upon Garraway's nomination, Warren Auld was appointed mayor pro tem. Auld jokingly stated that he would forego new business cards and a new name tag in order to save the city money.More like this story
