Jimmy D. Wallis, of Gainesville, formerly of Buford, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Funeral service will be 2 P.M., Sunday, August 26 in the Chapel of Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Robert DeForest officiating. Interment at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford. Mr. Wallis was preceded in death by his daughter Sheila Alvord and son Todd Wallis. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Oceain Wallis; children- Randy and Polly Wallis, of Winder; Anita Green, of Winder; Claudia and Steve Simmons, of Monroe; Robert and Jennifer Trefren, of Gainesville; Mike and Debra Trefren, of Jefferson; Rhonda and John Haley, of Gainesville; mother- Gladys Wallis, of California; brothers and sisters-in-law- Harold and Sunny Wallis, of Nevada; Jerald and Joyce Wallis, of Florida; sister- Velda Rich, of California. 25 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive. Mr. Wallis was a real estate broker, owner / operator of Lamplighter Realty, a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Duluth Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The family will receive friends Friday, August 24 from 6 to 9 P.M. and Saturday, August 25 from 6 to 9 P.M at Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 Morningside Drive, Buford, Georgia 30518. 770-945-9345.
