Lilburn woman wins lottery drawing
LILBURN - A retired Lilburn woman is celebrating a lottery win.
Nancy Merrill, 60, won $5,000 when she was selected in a Georgia's Millionaire Club weekly drawing.
As a result of her lucky win, Merrill now has a chance to win $10 million.
Merrill said she was outside in her pool during the televised drawing. She discovered her win when well-wishing friends began calling.
Merrill, a retired Wachovia branch manager and vice president, lives in Lilburn with her husband, Denis. She said she has no immediate plans for her $5,000 prize.
Georgia's Millionaire Club weekly drawings are held in conjunction with the instant game Georgia's $500 Million Club. Each weekly Georgia's Millionaire Club winner will receive $5,000 and become a finalist in the Extra Chance $10 Million Grand Prize Drawing.
