Duo robs cell phone store
DULUTH - A Lawrenceville Metro PCS store was robbed Friday night by two armed men, a police report said.
The owner of the store located at 2001 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road said he was outside getting something out of his vehicle when he noticed a black man enter the store.
As the owner approached the counter the man pulled a handgun and demanded money from the register while a second young black man demanded money as he threatened the owner with a knife.
The two fled with a bag full of money totaling more than $400.
Man attacked by group
NORCROSS - A Norcross resident was assaulted Sunday night as he walked through the Eagles Pointe Apartment complex on Noble Forest Drive.
According to a police report, a black man approached the victim and woman he was with asking for money. The man began beating and kicking the victim and called for a group of about six to seven other black men that joined in the beating.
The woman ran to call 911 as the man was able to escape from the group.
Both the victim and the woman said they did not know the attackers and did not think any of the men lived in the apartment complex.
