Cash stolen from Waffle House
SUWANEE - A Suwanee Waffle House was robbed Thursday by a man armed with a semi-automatic pistol, a police report said.
An employee was cleaning grills shortly before 6 a.m. at the restaurant at 1100 Old Peachtree Road when a black man wearing a black bandanna over his face pointed the gun at an employee while demanding money.
The employee ran and opened the register, allowing the man to take more than $600.
Man's dog shot with BB gun
BUFORD - A Buford man said he found his dog with gun shot wounds Friday night.
According to a police report, the man discovered his pit bull had been shot with a BB gun while it was wandering in a wooded area behind his and his neighbor's home on Elliot Street.
The man is unsure who could have injured his dog.
Crew digging causes gas leak
LAWRENCEVILLE - Buford Drive was closed for more than an hour Monday after a utility crew digging struck a gas line.
An emergency crew from Lawrenceville Gas was able to stop the leak shortly before 6 p.m., according to a Gwinnett County Fire Department press release.
One building nearby was evacuated, but no injuries were reported.
