Gwinnett Daily Post
DULUTH - The Gwinnett Gladiators announced Friday that seven games of their 2007-08 fifth anniversary season have been shifted.
The Gladiators have changed opponents on two home games and switched five road games. The changes were necessary due to scheduling conflicts encountered by the Charlotte Checkers following the release of the NBA and Charlotte Bobcats schedule. No home game dates for the Gladiators at the Arena at Gwinnett Center will be affected. The Gladiators will shift two home opponents as the Charlotte Checkers will no longer visit the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Dec. 27 while the Columbia Inferno will not close out the regular season home schedule on April 5. The two teams will switch dates at the arena. Gwinnett will have three open Saturday nights due to the scheduling issues at the Charlotte Bobcats arena. For two of the Saturdays, the Gladiators were originally scheduled to play at Charlotte while the third Saturday was scheduled at South Carolina. The Gladiators' five road dates affected by the schedule changes include Nov. 17 at Charlotte, Dec. 8 at Charlotte, Dec. 21 at Charlotte, Dec. 29 at South Carolina and March 6 at Columbia. Due to the loss of building availability, Gwinnett will now travel to Charlotte on Dec. 13, Dec. 20 and March 21. The Gladiators will go to South Carolina on Dec. 30 and to Columbia on March 6. - From staff reports SideBar: Schedule changes Nov. 17 at Charlotte moved to March 21 Dec. 29 at South Carolina moved to Dec. 30 Dec. 21 at Charlotte moved to Dec. 13 Dec. 27 vs. Charlotte moved to April 5 April 5 vs. Columbia moved to Dec. 27 Dec. 8 at Charlotte moved to Dec. 20 March 5 at Columbia moved to March 6More like this story
