LAWRENCEVILLE - All seventh-grade students in Gwinnett County now have new social studies textbooks, school district officials said Tuesday.
Because of a printing delay, the books, published by Holt, Rinehart and Winston, were expected to be delivered about a week after school started, district spokesman Jorge Quintana said. When the publisher realized the books would be delivered late, the company expedited the printing process, he said. Twelve middle schools received the textbooks Monday, and the remaining eight schools received the books Tuesday, Quintana said. Gwinnett County Public Schools expects to enroll 12,412 seventh-grade students this year.More like this story
