BUFORD - A motorcyclist involved in a wreck in Buford on Friday died from his injuries, police said Saturday.
The deceased was wearing a helmet, and alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the accident, said Cpl. Illana Spellman, spokeswoman for the Gwinnett County Police Department. Spellman could not yet release the identity of the motorcyclist. The accident occurred Friday at approximately 5:42 p.m. when the motorcycle and a car collided at the intersection of Sawnee Avenue and Robert Bell Parkway in Buford, said Lt. Thomas Rutledge, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Fire Department. Rutledge said the driver of the motorcycle was transported to Northside Forsyth Hospital after the accident. Occupants of the car were not injured.More like this story
