LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett Technical College's air conditioning technology program has received national accreditation status, college officials announced Friday.
The Partnership for Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Accreditation, an independent organization that is a partnership between the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration educators and industry, awards programs that has met or exceeded industry standards. The accreditation is effective for five years, a news release states. Students in Gwinnett Tech's air conditioning technology program prepare for a career in the air conditioning service field by learning about theory and practical application. The diploma program, which has classes in the day and evening as well as hybrid classes offered online and in the classroom, can be completed in four quarters. Air conditioning system maintenance technician and air conditioning electrical technician certificates can be completed in one quarter.More like this story
